photo (1)It’s true. We all want to know how other people tick, what makes them who they are. For me, I love hearing how I’m similar in my fears and worries and joys and triumphs as other moms.

Solidarity, sister.

When *the* Danielle Bean contacted me a few weeks ago about being on her podcast, I was like, “Um, you mean the other Kathryn?” Danielle is a rock star Catholic mom of many and I read her blog in the early days, back when blogging was as hip and new as MySpace. She’s just one of those people I look up to, and have for quite a while, and it’s always fun when someone like that reaches out. I’m pretty sure she yells at her kids about doing the laundry and finishing chores like I do and that’s what made this so fun. The sameness, not the yelling!

She’s hosts a weekly podcast called “Girlfriends.” In it, she reflects on a topic and then brings on a fellow Catholic mom to answer a few questions. She asks the same ones of each guest. I made myself jot down my answers before listening to any of her other podcasts and I’m so glad I did. The answers from other moms were just solid gold.

So, if you’re dying to know my best (and worst) moments as a mom, or the best advice I’ve ever received, go take a listen. There are y’all’s, sweet tea and lots of laughter. Oh, and the lightening round is fun. The college class I wish I could take? You probably won’t be surprised. And, no, it’s not BBQ. I’ve already taken that one. #truestory

Thanks, Danielle. You were so gracious!

Can you please share where you found the beautifully colorful cross that your Instagram photo shows hanging on your wall at your sink?! I love it!

A lovely friend brought it back with her from Mexico and gifted it to me. I love it, too!

I really enjoyed listening to you on Danielle’s show! Do you know if the company that did your chore chart is still in business? I can’t seem to find it. Thanks, Karen Webb

I just posted a link to the new company on that original post from April 2011. Hope it helps! EM Tanner Designs is no longer in business.
