We have this HUGE, and I’m talking ALL CAPS folks, sign on the window next to our front door that says…

PLEASE KNOCK

That’s it. Not mean, not unclear, pretty durn straightforward. Can anyone tell me why the guy who came to fix my washing machine clearly can’t read? Rang that doorbell like a pro 10 minutes before naptime was finito. Scratch that, his little trigger finger successfully ended that little slice of heaven.

:::sigh:::

    My husband sleeps during the day and we had that same problem. We ended up getting a bell blocker that fit over the doorbell and physically stopped people from ringing the bell.

    So sorry K – there is nothing worse than a nap interrupted – for both the kiddos and momma. Do all three of yours still nap? Wow! O&C have "rest" times in their room – but usually no sleep. Ah… I miss those days. Hey, did you at least get your washing machine fixed? I hope so! I can't imagine going without ours… Though we know it is on its way out soon – after 11+ years it is bound to give up before we know it! Chat soon!

    It was loverly. Oh well, what are you gonna do? Yes, they still nap – they’re Whitakers – it’s a family gene. The washing machine is a goner for at least a week. Awesome.
