Before / After

I am addicted to decorating, organizing, designing and making things more efficient.  I HATE inefficiency.  Thankfully, I married a man who is quite handy, sometimes willing and always handsome (flattery never hurts, ladies).  We have tackled many a project, learned many a lesson and have clocked only one DIY-related ER visit.  That’s pretty impressive for 15 years of marriage, don’t you think?

The house is always a work in progress, so check back in as I may have updated a photo or added a new project.  Take a look around and feel free to borrow an idea or two!

I’m just wondering, as we begin preparing to bring another little one into our home, do you keep the nursery a nursery? And move the next youngest to a “big kid” room? I guess we always thought Bryce’s nursery would stay his room but the other one is a mile, actually just a bathroom, away. Figured I’d ask a pro’s advice ;-)

We’ve always had a nursery (go figure). We move the “big” to the new room and keep the nursery a nursery. We know how the system works, everything already has its place and it was just easier to keep it there. Plus, we have it as the smallest room in our house for that reason. It’s typically the closest one to our bedroom, too. Although when we moved, that hasn’t been quite the case. I digress. It was fun to decorate a big kid room and my kids all had their own room until Clare came along, now they all bunk up (girls in one room, boys in the other), with Luke in the nursery. Hope that makes sense!

Thank you so much! Admittedly, that was my most favorite room to do. We’ve made some great memories in that room and they all involve laughter.
