I’ve always made it a practice to share things I love on my spot here on the interwebs. Sometimes I showcase an awesome Catholic artisan or a cool new thing I’ve discovered, but I always consider you – my sweet readers – before saying ‘yes.’ When I got the email from Uncommon Goods about checking something out of my choosing, that was an easy yes.
Actually, it was a hard yes. Because I couldn’t decide. Just ask Scott. I hijacked his iPad for a good hour. The winner?
Southern girls do love their bling. I almost chose a set of hand-blown glass wine tumblers (these in particular), but vanity won out over wine. I’m a Dos Equis girl anyway. Now, I would like to tell you that I’ve worn the heck out of that belt, but since my waist is just a teeny bit wider than it was about a year ago, I haven’t worn it as much as I’d like. Let’s just call it the incentive belt, shall we? But what an incentive! I do so adore a good statement piece and this one hit the spot. I’m sure there are many more practical gifts for mommas, but this is the one I loved the most. Sometimes it’s something pretty that wins out in the end. It’s possible you’ll be seeing it in the family pictures this fall.
The thing I love most about Uncommon Goods? They are huge supporters of artisans and designers. Ah, they speaka my language. I’m always on the hunt for unique creations, which is probably why I’m Etsy’s best customer. UC isn’t your typical retailer. Along with each product description, they also give some history of the artist. And I really, really loved that. It was like shopping on the streets of Sante Fe, New Mexico, and chatting with the locals. I did spy a few personalized gifts that will be perfect for some family members, but shhh.
Not all their pieces were super affordable, but I really did find some great gems. A few of them may have even gotten pinned for future Christmas presents! I found the reviews to be very helpful and honest. In fact, the reviews on the belt were super fantastic and, after loving on my own, I’d have to say they were spot on.
*I received a free product in exchange for my honest review. But, y’all know me well. I only rave about the things I adore.
