There’s a tiny bit of cheating going on here today. You don’t get my typical stand-in-front-of-the-door pose today for WIWS. Mostly because we were LIVING IT UP at the Dominican Sisters Housewarming Celebration and Blessing today in Georgetown. After the big day, we hopped in the van and drove straight to Mass!
I’ll be sharing much more about our day on Tuesday over at Austin Catholic New Media. But I would be remiss if I didn’t share this. If you have ever wanted to see joy, to touch it, to shake its hand and hug its sweet neck, may I introduce you to the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist? They’re the ones topping the billboard charts with their album, Mater Eucharistiae. Y’all. We are blessed to know two orders of Dominicans – Nashville and Ann Arbor – and we love them both.
I have never, ever, met a Dominican Sister that didn’t exude joy, peace, love and authenticity. These gals are the real deal. And having them in our schools, in our community and very soon, a 100-Sister Priory just up the road, is beyond a blessing. It makes me tear up every time I think about it. To every sweet Sister we met and to those who know us well, welcome to your new home in Texas. We couldn’t be happier to have you here.
