Is it like Africa hot outside or what? It’s about this time in the summer all Texans start deliriously begging God to please send relief. Here’s hoping 90-degree days are in our near future. This morning we ran from the van’s A/C to the church’s. And yesterday, Scott and John Paul braved 100+ temps for Aggie football’s season opener.
They walked in the door last night and I asked, “Well, how was it?” Just as Scott was saying, “HOT,” John Paul busted out with, “It was AWESOME!” Kids always have the greatest perspective. Except of course when you ask them to do chores. Then, it’s as if a crucial limb has just be severed.
We only had to shuffle seats once in the pew and it was a bonus that the sweet lady behind us complimented their behavior. I kept wondering if she was referring to our family, but either way, I’ll take it.
You’ve seen all these outfit pieces before, I just shuffled them up a bit. All I know is that skirt is worth every penny I paid for it. It sucks all the necessary “extra” in and then those lines make my hips disappear. It’s like magic. I’m still trying to figure out how to fix the new ‘do, but I am loving the length. I’m even sporting my Aggie toes. One has to support her alma mater. Looking back at this picture, I realized I left all my jewelry on the bathroom counter. Oops.
