As the daughter of an Army man, I’ve always loved a man in uniform. Monday, we remember those that gave the ultimate sacrifice for country. We may not live in a perfect country, but I do think we live in one worth dying for. I am grateful so many men in my family have chosen to serve and I’m honored to remember those that are no longer with us.
In the spirit of Memorial Day, we busted out the red, white and blue – with minimal complaints from the peanut gallery. I’d love to tell you the behavior during Mass was stellar, but then I’d be a big, fat liar. At least the sweet man behind us gave us the “your kids are beautiful” comment. It’s good to know God sends the compliment just before you want to smack son #2 in the head.
We have a special guest debuting here on WIWS, our very funny, awesome, Aggie parish seminarian, Tom. Or, as my kids call him, Jenga. We once had a raucous game of Jenga at the house with him and now that’s all they call him. We only get to torture Tom a few more weeks before he heads off on a break, then to Italy and back to seminary. He and Will served at Mass today. I’m really going to miss that. Tom, for what it’s worth I SO tried to PhotoShop Johnny Football in the picture with y’all.
Tom: Sacristy closet!
Girls: Janie & Jack
Boys (all 4): Dillard’s

Kisses to the gals at FLAP for hosting!
