Short and sweet today y’all. We had two “past midnight” date nights this weekend and I am the walking dead. If you haven’t heard it’s Catholic Schools Week and our Diocese does it up right. We host a dinner and awards ceremony every year, honoring our school’s unsung heroes all while raising money for tuition assistance.
It is one of the best weekend’s of the year. First up, the fashion from Friday night. You’ll get more on this next week, but Fr. Leo Patalinghug’s Fusion Fajitas are the bomb diggety. He hosted a cooking demonstration for a small crowd down at Austin’s Mercury Hall. I laughed, I ate, I learned theology. Fabulous.
Friday fashion:
Bomb Jacket: WHBM
Shirt: Ralph Lauren Outlet
Jeans: noVae Clothing
Jewelry: earrings (Charming Charlie) and necklace (gift from the hubs)
Shoes: seriously old brown boots from Nine West
Saturday night was the big event and I recycled this WIWS outfit, namely because of all the sweet things y’all said when I posted it here on the blog. When my husband first saw me, he said, “Babe, you look stunning.” So, yeah, that one’s a winner.
During this morning’s Mass, we realized that our fourth kiddo may be coming down with something, so it was a quick Instagram (so sorry for the poor quality) and then off to the doctor. Still waiting on the 24-hour strep results, but since she’s running around like a crazy person I think the negative rapid strep test is going to hold.
Sunday fashion:
Dress: WHBM (this one was a steal for $30 on Cyber Monday, 75% off)
Boots: Ecco from Dillards
Jewelry: necklace (James Avery)
Tomorrow, I have a great guest blogger/photographer sharing some awesome bits of wisdom on ye old blog. Pencil that reading time in. And, word on the street says there’s a pretty awesome giveaway. It *could* have something to do with Fr. Leo. Just sayin.

Here at Team Whitaker, I blog about life as it happens: big families, carpool, Catholicism,Texas Aggies, prematurity, DIY/organizing projects, sanity checks and the occasional glass of wine at 10am. You get real Kathryn. Unedited, honest and hopefully funny. Motherhood and our faith lives are a journey, join me.

This is totally aside from the point of the post (and I do love the dress!) but you may in fact be responsible for the owl dilemma I am having! I decided I am on an owl kick for baby items, and so I was picking out things for the baby book I am putting together… I keep envisioning purple and green owls! I discovered the source! Ha, ha!
You sure know how to rock black!
You look fabulous I want that whole outfit, you know I love WHBM and boots!
Read the article in the paper @Fr. Leo & loved what he had to say. Bet he’s a great cook. And you rocked that outfit!
I think you look fabulous. I am glad you enjoyed Fr. Leo.
Modern, hip and totally flattering. Love it! I also love Fr. Leo. i use his cookbook all the time!
Aaaah, you’re so cool! Fr. Leo?? Ah!
Hey, fashionable Kathryn, would you like to become an official Catholic Fashion Blogger? You’ve got great style, and I would be thrilled to add your blog to our growing list of missionary fashionistas here: http://itsfuntobeagirl.com/catholic-fashion-bloggers/. You are most welcome to come on over and grab a button. Let me know!
PS. I think we have lots of friends in common, and I definitely hope that we can meet in person at some point. We saw Fr. Leo at Mass at St. William on Sunday, and I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard during a homily.
