Here we are in Ordinary time for a few weeks before Lent starts. I don’t know about y’all, but I’m ready. Yes, still enjoying the normalcy that comes with ordinary, but so looking forward to the penance of Lent.
I’m still on the fence about this outfit, but Canon captured it on film, so you get to see it. Plus, it was warmer, I had a willing (and cute) model and a husband who had the patience to let us try a new pose. Hooray for 60-degree weather in January. As I was sharing my “meh” over the outfit, my husband piped up, “Well, you wore it. And this isn’t ‘What I Wanted to Wear Sunday.’ ” He just has a way of cutting to the chase, doesn’t he?
As a family, we started off a little rocky this morning, but an hour-long Mass has a way of altering your perspective. Thank goodness for an early morning Mass, thus allowing us to fully enjoy the day the way God intended.

This week should be loads of fun here on the blog, there’s a 4-H competition, meal planning, basketball and a First Reconciliation to share. Now that those 50 second grade prayer boxes are almost done, client work is completed and the Harry Potter party planning is in full swing, I’ll be back at it this week.

I like it! I like how the different volumes play off of one another: slim pangs, wide cardi sleeves, starched shirt.
My boots are my constant repeat-offenders. When it’s cold, it’s cold- you know? No apologies! Lol.
Hahahaha oh my goodness, Kathryn, your husband’s weekly comments crack me up. I do have to say that this picture is adorable. I love any action shot of little girls twirling in their skirts. And I’m a huge fan of your shoes!
I love your blouse. The color and print are cute! I never feel right when I tuck in a blouse, but you look nice.
I like the outfit & I really like the longer sleeved shirt under the shorter sweater.
Love the print on the blouse and the color is delish and your sweater has a unique sleeve which is hard to find. I like it.
Very cute outfit! I’m looking forward to hearing about 4H! Our Livestock Show here in Corpus was this past week.
LOVE your shoes and that blouse color on you. You’re both adorable and the photo is a good one – yay for your husband capturing a fun pose!
What a great outfit! And I love the belt! Too cute!
That belt was a quick “oh my goodness I can’t find the one I want” moment. I swiped it from skirt in my closet as I was walking out the door!
I like it! I like the brightness under the black. And the beautiful smile is the perfect accessory to any outfit.
You’re daughter looks so cute! Husbands are hysterical my husband never sugar coats my outfits I love that about him!
I LOVE your daughter’s polka dots, and your bow-tie belt is my favorite part of your outfit!
Love the coloring of the shirt and the belt is great! As for repeat offender…please…we don’t all have the endless closet, which is why I am merely stalking WIWS these days…I’m repeating all over the place!
This is so cute! I love the bow belt, and your daughter’s polka-dot dress is adorable. This photo reminds me of You’ve Got Mail- the photo of the shop owner and her daughter twirling.
