Admittedly, I was a little hesitant to participate in What I Wore Sunday this weekend. Last week, Jennifer Fulwiler wrote a piece about dressing for Mass over at National Catholic Register where she referenced part of a post I did for Austin Catholic New Media on the same topic.
You should’ve seen the com box!
I hesitated not because this series is bad for my soul, makes me put too much emphasis on fashion rather than God nor because I envy the other women participating. I hesitated because I wanted people to know my true intentions and I was afraid they would get construed. And then I reminded myself of this: the interwebs is full of all sorts of rash judgment. I know MY heart, MY intentions and MY purpose. And they are all where they should be.
This past weekend I participated in the first annual Ann Arbor Dominicans Women’s Retreat. It’s focus was on grace and gratitude. I’ll have a bigger, much more reflective post later this week about my experience, my God moment and a stolen Diet Coke. It’s exciting stuff. On to the outfit.
Pants: White House Black Market
Turtleneck: Novae Clothing
Shoes: Dillard’s (I’m sort of in love with these)
Jewelry: I’m sure you remember that owl and turqouise necklace, don’t you?
What would a post be without a photo of my cute photographer this week? Well done, big man!
As always, danke to the gals at Fine Linen and Purple for hosting such a great linkup every week.
