Last week, I gave a shout out to Aggie football. While I’m still singing their praises, DID Y’ALL WATCH COLLEGE FOOTBALL LAST NIGHT?? Holy schmollee. #1 and #2 go down, open the door for the Irish and the K-State win propels our sweet Johnny Football to the top of the Heisman Hunt. Twitter was oh-so-fun last night. I’m a southern girl, I love me some football.
And…switching to fashion.
Living in “perpetual summer” here in Central Texas makes dressing for winter a wee bit of a challenge. The ratio of winter to summer clothes in my closet is like 2 to 10. Granted, our winter is most people’s fall and it typically only lasts a few weeks. But, still. I can’t wear my sandal wedges and summer skirts all year.
It was quite a week around here. Our youngest had heart surgery on Wednesday to correct one of his heart defects and we just weren’t sure how difficult, or easy, the recovery would be. It’s been nothing short of miraculous. Even though the kids’ behavior at Mass today could’ve been a little better, I was just so grateful we were all there, as one family!
Here’s this week’s WIWS.
Dress: White House Black Market (last year’s Christmas Eve sale!)
Shoes: Dillard’s (Might I add I love those shoes? They are actually quite comfortable and they make me about 3″ taller!)
Jewelry: WHBM (earrings), James Avery (necklace)
A cowboy hat tip to the gals at Fine Linen and Purple for hosting such a great linkup every week. Even if you’re not Catholic, you should totally do this. It’s given me some great ideas! As in, Dwija, you are totally going to see this dress again with your boots from Kohl’s!
