I realize that what I’m about to share may not be popular with all my readers and all my friends. I just want each and every one of you to know this, my actions come from love. Yes, it is that pure and simple.
Wherever you reside on this fence, it does not affect my love, admiration and friendship with you.
My heart loves babies. It always has. What’s not to love? When a mother makes the painful choice to end that life, everyone involved suffers pain. See, that’s the thing with a pregnancy. Even if the pregnancy ends, it still happened. There is loss all around – loss of life for the child, loss of innocence for the mother, loss of hope, loss of spirit. Even if that mother goes on to do wonderful things in her life – and many do – her heart has been permanently changed.
Today’s post over at Austin Catholic New Media, I share how I came to my decision to step out onto the sidewalk and pray for an end to abortion. It wasn’t an easy decision, but one I have peace about doing. In a few weeks, I’ll be sharing some more reflections on my experience. I just ask that you pray for me and the thousands of other volunteers who choose to peacefully pray for an end to abortion.
May it never be a woman’s only choice.
