Friday was a pretty uneventful day for Luke. Today was mostly about watching him eat and poop. I guess that will be me when the kids are watching me at 85!
For the three of you that read this blog, you know we ruled out one surgery on Thursday. Hirschsprung’s is off the table as the biopsy was negative. That was definitely good news. Luke started pedialyte and alternated with nursing and finished off the day nursing only. K said he did pretty well all day and even had a few poopy diapers. We have come to the conclusion that he is night pooper…not good for us but hey, we will take it.
Well, since we haven’t visited every pediatric specialist yet we thought we would add one more…the GI doc. Meet Dr. Sanders. It seems as though the course of action for us will be to keep giving the antibiotics to destroy any remaining pockets of bacteria in his colon and small intestine.
While his belly is still distended it is soft and so if he had a good night and tolerates nursing we should be a family again on Saturday. Thanks again to all for your prayers and your support. It means so much. K will be your narrator again soon.
