Buzz, buzz. I woke up at 6am to the buzz of my cell phone text from a friend (Janet, the Starbuck’s rocked) and headed off to pump. Our day today was a FAR cry from last night. Throughout the day, we moved from having morphine doses every two hours, to every 6-8 hours. We almost coaxed a smile out of Luke today, but no dice. Maybe tomorrow.
One of our favorite NPs (nurse practioners), Tammy, stopped by to ooh and ahh over Luke. He is the cutest baby on the floor, we hear. She couldn’t believe how big he’d gotten since she saw him last in the NICU. Mom and Dad Farnum stopped in to share the love, as did Granny Whitaker. And, Fr. Richard checked in and gave Luke a blessing.
My apologies for having such a short post, but Mom is tired and Luke has finally settled down to sleep. All in all, our day was mostly uneventful. Luke is still not eating (he can’t until he makes us a diaper), but the pain is finally under control and he’s sleeping soundly. Scott is back at home on kid duty and I get to share a room with the other man in my life tonight 🙂
Keep the prayers coming and I’ll post sometime tomorrow night about Luke’s progress.
We are thankful!!
St. Luke, pray for us!
